There are plenty of different kinds of decorations available for weddings but it all comes down to personal preference. You will have to take into consideration the theme of the wedding when decorating the church and reception venue. For example if your theme was a classic black and white wedding then it wouldn’t look particularly good if you had pink and yellow decorations with your black and white attire. Some of the different things you can use when decorating for your wedding or reception are;
Flowers; of course these seem like an obvious suggestion but the kind of flowers you can now get vary greatly and that also goes for the arrangements. Of course as well there are certain flowers that also have certain meanings, which are widely used in weddings even to this day. As well as the style you may want to take into consideration the cost for example you could arrange for some of the flowers used at the ceremony to take to the reception celebration, this way you will save the money of buying two lots of flowers, whilst still having flowers that match your attire and decoration.Candles; candles are great if used as a centre piece on the tables of the reception and there are so many different ways in which you can use them to create a different look. For example for an elegant look you may want to create a floating candle centre piece for each table or even if it were just for your top table. All you would need to do this is select the glass containers you want to use, usually raised from the table, after the containers have been selected all you need to do is fill the container with water and any other decorations you want to put in such as petals or glass beads. Once all other decorations are in you then just need to place the candles in and light them the number of candles you put in is entirely up to you and the look you want to achieve.
Favours; once the rest of the decoration has been decided it is just down to the smaller details such as the favours to be left on the tables. Of course what you include in these favours and how you display them is entirely up to you, the traditional favour is sweet almonds and chocolate covered almonds. You can now buy specific display cartons for small table favours and also many different types of things to put in them of course it finally comes down to how much you can spare to spend on the favours.
