There are plenty of different themes available for weddings now and it entirely up to personal preference what kind of theme, if any, you have. For example there are themes such as fairy tale princess and then the more sophisticated black and white traditional wedding theme, both having a very different atmosphere but would be aimed at two completely different couples.
Choosing a theme
When planning a wedding this would be one of the first things you would have to think about as everything that you buy for the wedding is involved if you decide to have a certain theme. If you were to have a theme you would need to make sure it was something you both felt the same about for example if you both have a sport that is a hobby enjoyed by both of you that could be incorporated into your wedding design. The same could be for if their was a certain country you both met in or proposed for clichés sake say you proposed in Paris then you could have a French theme running through out your wedding. The different accessories used in a wedding plan even down to the plates can be incorporated into the theme of the wedding if you can find some with a certain design that matches the theme.
Once you have your theme chosen you will then need to think about the exact design you want for the whole wedding. Below are some examples for a black and white themed wedding;
This should start with the brides dress and grooms wear, with the black and white theme in mind lots of frills and such does not go too well with this and so you want everything to be sleek and sharp. So the brides dress should be fairly simple and flowing not with lots of bulk if possible as this would go better with the theme of the rest of the wedding.
With the grooms wear it tends to be slightly easier as they can wear a fairly simple suit or even tuxedo in black and white. The best look would be to have a white shirt underneath a black outer layer, however, there are some that like the look of the shirt being black with a white suit on the exterior.Once you have the clothing arranged you then need to think about accessories for the wedding hall and also reception in the evening. Many people when planning a black and white wedding also like to involve slight colour to break it up a little especially with the decoration so you could choose to have a slight bit of colour such as bright red or emerald green.
The principle for planning a colourful wedding is simple in the way you can take colours that you favour and put them together to create a look that is unique to you and your partner.
